      Registration
  1. When am I officially registered
    Consider yourself registered once you have submitted your complete registration form and the full course fee.

    Niagara Catholic District School Board reserves the right to change course location, fee, date and time.

  2. Is there a waiting list?
    If we are unable to register you in a course because it is full,we will notify you, put you on a waiting list and contact you if spaces become available.

  3. How can I cancel my registration
    Registration cancellations by phone or in writing must be received at least seven days prior to the published course start date. Cancellation requests received before the seven-day deadline will result in fees being refunded, less a $20 administration fee per course.We regret that no refund is available when a course registration is cancelled after the seven-day deadline.

  4. Course Cancellation
    Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel any course for which there is insufficient enrollment. Upon course cancellation,we will make every effort to contact you about the cancellation and discuss your options. Fee may be applied to another course or refunded in full.

  5. How do I register for a course?
    You may register in several ways. You may register by visiting an Adult Learning Centre during office hours, register by phone at the applicable Centre, print off the registration form from this site and fax or mail to the applicable Centre.
  6. Where can I pick up a copy of your Course Guide?
    Course Guides are available at all Adult Learning Centres, and Public Libraries.
  7. When does your Course Guide come out?
    Course Guides are distributed throughout the Niagara Region in mid August each year featuring classes and courses for the upcoming school year. They are distributed in the local daily paper for subscribers or with the flyers if you do not subscribe to a daily.
  8. Do I need to buy textbooks?
    We do not sell textbooks or expect you to buy a textbook. Students may be required to make a refundable textbook deposit to use a textbook during the course.
  9. Can I still get into a class if it has already started?
    It is possible to enter a class after it has already started if there is space available and within the first few days.

  10. How can I find out how many more high courses I still need to graduate?
    First, you need to acquire a copy of your transcript from your last high school. You should call the high school and either arrange for pickup or mailing. Then you should make an appointment with one of our Intake Counsellors to review your transcript.

  11. Do you offer Correspondence courses?
    Yes . Correspondance Courses are offered through the On-Line Secondary School Credit Program.

  12. Do you have a Graduation ceremony?
    Yes. Graduation ceremonies for all students who have completed the requirements for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma are held at the end of June throughout the Niagara Region. The ceremonies are held in the early evening. Graduates are welcome to invite family and friends.

      ESL
  13. When do your English as a Second Language classes begin?
    English as a Second Language, ESL, runs continuously. You can register today and start today. It is not necessary for Canadian citizens, landed immigrants and refugees to pre register. Visitors to Canada must pre register for ESL by calling Fred Wilson at 905 682 3360.

  14. What do I need to bring to register in an ESL class?
    You must bring documentation indicating your status in Canada and prove of residency in Ontario.

  15. Is childminding available for my children while I am in class?
    Free childminding is available at the St John Adult Learning Centre only for students who are attending class at St John. Children must be toilet trained and between the ages of 2 – 6. You can register your child for childminding at the same time as you register for class. Childminding is available during the daytime only.

  16. Do you have settlement support services available for new Canadians?
    Yes. Settlement workers are available at the St Ann Adult Learning Centre and at the St John Adult Learning Centre for students enrolled in ESL. Students in Fort Erie can access the settlement worker at the Fort Erie Multicultural Centre which is located in the same building.

  17. What do settlement workers do?
    Settlement Workers assist new Canadians with a variety of issues, such as housing, immigration documents, medical services, social and public services, general welfare counselling and school information to name just a few.

  18. When are the TOEIC Test Dates?
    The Test of English for International Communication is conducted at the St John Adult Learning Centre on Saturday afternoons from 1:00 – 4:00: You must pre pre-register at least one week prior to the test at 905 682 3360.

  19. Do you charge for parking?
    No. All of our locations offer free parking.
